I initially received Ja’Shondra’s name from an online referral. After I received the referral, I began my research! I went onto her social platforms to review pictures of her work and saw the exact look that I wanted…”The Effortlessly Natural Application.” Next, I went to her website and found more photos of her beauty-work and I also found the booking process to be extremely easy.

Nevertheless, I did not book at that time because I needed to confirm three things:
1. If an earlier appointment was possible as I would need to come in before she actually opened, due to my already scheduled 11am photoshoot.
2. If she recommended another look (outside of what I thought I wanted) for a branding photoshoot.
3. If she had any COVID-19 policies in place as we are still in the midst of a global pandemic.

Well, when I reached out to Ja’Shondra, her responses were prompt and professional. She said that she would open early just for me! She confirmed that ”The Effortlessly Natural Application” was exactly what I needed for a branding photoshoot! And last but definitely not least, she has COVID-19 protocol in place! I was ready to book and so I did! I received a confirmation email immediately after securing my appointment, and even a reminder communication the day before my appointment!

On the day of my appointment, Ja’Shondra was masked and her studio suite was beautiful! Her spacious front window suite is perfect and her environment speaks sophistication, glamor and excellence! With that said, while it is clear that she knows her craft well…the latest MUA techniques/trends and the overall business of it, her real passion is INNER beauty! While effortlessly applying your makeup, she finds a way to teach or encourages the client on who they are within and the beauty that they already have that she is only enhancing. When she turned me around to look at my finished face, I was speechless! And she said, “That’s you! That’s you honey! I only enhanced what was already there!”

It is abundantly clear to me why her business is called “Her Gifted Touch.” Her hands are indeed gifted by the Spirit of Excellence, who is the Holy Spirit! As she moves effortlessly with Him, it causes you to remember who you are within, as He uses Ja’Shondra to just shine His light on you! She didn’t “beat my face”; instead she “illuminated my face” with the light and love that can only come from above!
