Essie is the absolute best! She does the most stunning, glam yet natural makeup. It doesn’t look cakey or fake. She demonstrated her immense talent doing my bridal makeup and makeup for my bridal party and close family, ranging greatly in age, skin types, and personal preferences. From the minute I met Essie at the trial, I fell in love with her energy and attitude. Not only is she immensely talented, she brings a coolness and calmness that every bride needs on their wedding day. She is a saint and so good at dealing with last minute changes, difficult people, etc.

Essie was my makeup artist for my wedding on June 22, 2024, and it's hard for me to put into words how absolutely exceptional she was. From my first trial, Essie was professional, honest, and kind. She helped me determine what makeup style would work for ME (rather than simply going with trends) and then helped me personalize every detail- I never felt uncomfortable saying if I wanted tweaks, because she's so clear that she wants her brides to LOVE how they feel. She treats each bride as equally important, even after doing hundreds (maybe thousands?) of weddings.

More than anything, Essie's energy is fantastic- she and her assistant Riley came to the bridal suite ready to truly get to know each of my bridesmaids, brought a great playlist, and the skin prep felt like a mini-spa day. Riley spent time looking at each person's skin to customize what they needed most before their makeup application, which is something I've never had as a bridesmaid, despite being in 5+ weddings over the years. They both just meshed so well with the whole group.

Choosing Essie Cohen Makeup is the best decision you could make for your wedding day, dance, event, etc. and I will be a fan for life. Thank you, Essie!

Essie is amazing and everything you could want in a makeup artist! She is out-of-this-world talented, able to create any look you want, incredibly punctual, and has an awesome energy and vibe! She always makes me look and feel beautiful for photoshoots and events, and I always enjoy my time with her during my appointments. She’s funny, charismatic, and down to earth. Recently I met with her to go through my makeup bag, and she helped me decide what no longer works for my skin at my current age, and recommended the perfect product additions. Ever since my makeup lesson, I’ve been getting SO many compliments on my skin and my makeup - no joke, multiple times a day! Essie is the only person I would trust for all of my makeup needs.
