First off, KYLA IS A SUPERHERO. I could just tell by her work on Instagram/ her website that Kyla was extremely talented and let me tell you... she did not disappoint. Long story short, due to unfortunate circumstances I got close to 0 sleep the night before my wedding day; however, Kyla worked her magic and I have never felt more beautiful. Me and my girls couldn't have been more happy with Kyla's Work. Not all of my bridesmaids had their makeup done but for those that did, they couldn't have been more grateful and impressed.

Kyla is truly the best at what she does! Once I booked my wedding venue, I immediately booked Kyla for make up and am so happy I did. She did the best job on myself, my mom, and my bridesmaids. Everyone was so happy with how their make up turned out! Our wedding day was 105 degrees and our make up didn’t budge at all. She was also such a gem to have around that morning! It was such a relaxing, fun morning and my party still talks about how amazing she was (at make up & as a person). I would hire her a million times over! 1000/10.

Kyla did my makeup for my wedding, and she also did the makeup for my bridesmaids and mom. As someone who is extremely picky and has had her makeup done many, many times, let me tell you that Kyla is hands down the best makeup artist I have ever worked with. The decision for my hair and makeup artists was actually the one that gave me the most anxiety. For background, I am Persian and have distinct features and until my wedding nobody had ever been able to do my make up in a way that I liked, or that was flattering for my features. From the moment that I sat in Kyla‘s chair for my trial, I already knew that I was going to be in amazing hands. For my first trial, I asked for pretty natural makeup, and I was STUNNED when she had me look in the mirror. I came back for a second trial to see if I should try a more dramatic look and loved it even more.

On my wedding day, I had the misfortune of waking up with my entire face sunburnt because I spent the day before on a boat without sunscreen (major fail). But I literally wasn’t worried at ALL, even with my super red face, because I knew I was in the BEST hands. I trusted Kyla so much at that point that I told her to go even more dramatic and try new things that we hadn’t tested in a trial. Needless to say, not a soul could tell that I was sunburnt and I have never felt more confident. When I look back on my wedding, Kyla is one of the people I am most grateful for. She truly put me at ease and allowed me to be myself in FULL GLAM. I wish I could hire Kyla for every single event forever, because I seriously do not trust anyone else with my makeup! (Also, several of my bridesmaids and my mom said they have NEVER loved their makeup more!)

As a woman of color, I know how hard it can be to find stylists that know how to enhance the beauty of your own features. One look at Kyla’s portfolio and you’ll see that she is an incredibly inclusive artist who specializes in EVERYONE’s faces. She’s that good. It was very important to me to hire artists who showcase their work with diverse clients, and I’m so proud to have met and worked with Kyla. She’s a gem!

Note: I have always had the issue of needing lots of touchups because my face just absorbs makeup and it rubs off so easily. Kyla’s makeup did not budge AT ALL. 10 hours after application, I still looked super fresh and beautiful!
