I cannot say enough good things about Janelle! We had to reschedule 3 times in 2020/2021 and Janelle worked with and supported us every step of the way. We are on the east coast which meant a lot of communication and going with our gut. We were so lucky when we picked Janelle. Not only are her makeup skills insane but she also helped us with local recommendations and was just so warm and delightful. I don't typically wear a lot of makeup and I felt beautiful and like myself for my big day, even more impressive as we had no opportunity to do a trial. It was a true joy having her with us for our big day, thank you Janelle!!

When I saw Janelle’s work, I knew immediately that she was the artist who I wanted to do my wedding makeup. I felt like I won the wedding lottery when she was available for my date. I wanted makeup that looked natural but still felt special for my wedding day. Janelle has a beautiful style that does just that and makes you feel like the best version of yourself. I did a preview with her before my engagement photos, and she really listened to me and understood my vision. She also did makeup for my mother and my cousin on the day of the wedding, and we all commented that she was like a magician — easily finding the perfect shades to complement our skin tones. She even gifted my mother the lip color that she used for her from her kit, which was such a sweet gesture. Janelle is so fun, warm, and calming to be around — it felt like talking with a friend from our first meeting. She was also so accommodating throughout the entire process, even adding on skin care for my husband for the wedding day when we requested it at the last minute. Janelle is super professional, knowledgeable, and skilled. She is extremely detail-oriented and takes cleanliness/safety with her tools very seriously, which I really appreciated. She is honestly just the very best! I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you so much, Janelle!

Janelle was amazing! My makeup was amazingly beautiful in person and in photos. My wedding was outside on a very warm day and Janelle made sure that my makeup was able to stay perfect throughout the ceremony and reception. I highly recommend her!

I am so grateful that Janelle was the makeup artist for my wedding day! She is incredibly talented and passionate about what she does. When I was looking for makeup artists who would make my Sequoia elopements dreams come true, my search stopped at Janelle. I knew I was in good hands after our first phone conversation. She made me feel important and heard. And on my wedding day, everything we spoke about over the phone months before she took note of. I let her know one of my concerns was oily skin. This review is loooong overdue but it's more than well deserved. I had my make up done by Janelle almost a year ago for my June wedding in the Sequoias. I was so nervous to book make-up because I normally don't wear any make up and struggle with the feeling of it on. But Janelle really understood what I wanted, and over delivered because my make up lasted basically the whole weekend! The best part for me was that I felt so comfortable with her, I loved doing the trial the day before my wedding because I got to wear it for my welcome party and also got to connect with her before my wedding day. She is such a sweet and fun person with the best energy and that is so huge for someone who is the biggest part of the start of a wedding day (especially when it starts at 3:30 am!). I started my wedding day with a sunrise hike which meant she needed to start really early and my make up needed to last until at least through my ceremony and reception which ended around 10 pm...well it lasted well through my after party around 3 am AND I'm embarrassed to say but I was not functional the next morning and still showed up looking absolutely fresh and flawless . My wedding day consisted of a sunrise morning hike, afternoon nap, ceremony, campground activities, sunset canoe ride, reception AND an after-party with pinatas and my make up looked like she had been behind me all day. The morning after we had a wedding brunch and my makeup still looked great! Even when I took my make up off, I could tell what she had used was good quality make up and prep because my skin did not freak out in the slightest (which tends to happen with me after heavy make up) I couldn't believe it after the packed day I had prior and sleeping with it on twice! I'll forever be thankful for the literal magic that Janelle was able to execute on my wedding day, not just with incredibly fresh and long lasting make up but also with easing my anxiety and making me feel truly special and beautiful. There is no other answer. Just book Janelle!!!
